To commemorate the unveiling of the model of the Gdańsk Synagogue, which was demolished in 1939, the Museum of Gdańsk and the Jewish Historical Institute organized a conference, resulting in the book.
It presents studies on the history of the Great Synagogue of Gdańsk and of the Jewish community in the city.
The cover illustration of the Synagogue, based on historical depictions, was hot-stamped in glossy red.
